It has nothing to do with running a home based business...

But it has everything to do with productivity.

I guess it all depends on what type of computer you are using right now and whether or not you love or hate Microsoft or Apple...

Personally, I have both a Mac and a PC...

My Mac is ancient...

But, my PC loves to eat my work day up by booting, rebooting, and installing updates for what feels like hours at a time. :-(

"I've noticed that a number of people have said (recommended?) that you should purchase you domain name from GoDaddy and then host the domain at HostGator.

"I'm wondering if there is a piece of the puzzle that I have missed that explains why it is necessary to have this step in the process, or are people just trying to make it more complicated than it needs to be?

"There doesn't appear to me to be any technical advantage to doing this, so is it only because I might save a buck or two by buying at GoDaddy?
